Practical Commands
By clicking any of the following, you can quickly and easily troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Network Connection: This command is used to open the Network Adapter page and access network settings, for example, when it is necessary to access network card settings.
- Internet Option: can be used to perform commands such as removing Proxy or Resetting the Internet browser and other Internet settings.
- Ping Modem: If your Internet connection is interrupted for any reason, the first step to be taken is to test the connection to the modem, which will be possible using this command.
- Ping 85.15.1.10: This command tests your connection to Shatel site. If you are still disconnected from the Internet, regardless of the connection with the modem, the next step is to test your connection to Shatel.
- Ping 8.8.8.8: This is the command to test the Internet connection. For example, if this connection is not possible, your service may be disconnected for various reasons, such as an unpaid bill, a problem with the cables, etc.
- Ping Yahoo.com: This command is used to test connection to Yahoo site (as a well-known site that is always available). For example, if you are connected to the IP but you cannot ping Yahoo site, the problem is with DNS and you need to reset DNS.
- IP Config / All: By executing this command, you will be shown a complete list of network cards and IPs that you have received.
- IP Config / Flush DNS: This command erases DNS cache.
- Netstat -on: This command shows the ports and IPs that are active on your system.
- MAC Address: You need this command to see the physical address of the network card.
- Tracert Yahoo.com: This command checks the path to access yahoo.com address.
- Firewall ON :turns on system firewall.
- Firewall OFF: turns off the firewall. (Sometimes Firewall may block your access to the Internet so it needs to be turned off or turned on.)
- Proxy Server is OFF: If your browser’s proxy is set manually, this command will reset it to its default settings.
