Accessing the DSL technology can be achieved by using two special devices that are installed at the service subscriber’s location and the service provider center. The device that is installed at the subscriber’s location is called CPE, generally known as the ADSL Modem. It is the user’s point of connection with the DSL line. CPE can be connected to the subscriber’s station in different ways, one of the most common ones of which is using USB connectors. On the other side, a device called DSL Access Multiplexer or DSLAM is installed and used at the service providing center, which helps clients’ access high capacity Internet with one link.
