Important suggestions for using ADSL2+ modem
The quality of delivering ADSL2+ high-speed Internet services is affected by a set of parameters with choosing an appropriate modem as one its important ones.
Years of experience by Shatel’s experts and professionals shows that modem quality is among the most important parameters on subscribers’ service quality; as many disqualified modems available on the market do not have required standards for accessing desired quality intended by Shatel.
Besides the quality considerations, quick technological changes in high-speed Internet delivery results in the need of obligation for modem manufacturer to offer updated and appropriate technical and software support.
Unfortunately many disqualified modems on the market do not have manufacturer’s support despite of having an agency or sales representative and one little tweak in high-speed Internet services technology may result in serious disqualification of service or make service delivery impossible. In previous years the experience with various users has validated this fact.
Moreover some other modems available on the market do not completely and thoroughly support ADSL2+ features and some other modems interfere with Shatel equipment that may result in equipment damage or lowering the quality to groups of users.
On the other hand due diversity of modem brands, Shatel is unable to train its experts for applying settings on all modem brands available on the market. This way by fine inspecting and testing equipment available on international market, Shatel has identified and announced its approved modems. Suppliers from which Shatel supplies its modems from guarantee that they will resolve the possible problems with modems and Shatel will also provide new firmware for users.
Considering these points, we suggest that users use Shatel approved modems or consult our technical experts before buying a modem and this way make us capable of delivering higher quality service. Otherwise beside low service quality that results in customer dissatisfaction, it will also make it hard for Shatel technical experts to detect and resolve the problems and obviously Shatel staff will not be held responsible for that. Please note that if subscriber’s equipment interfere with Shatel’s system, Shatel will have to disconnect subscriber’s internet service.
