ShatelMobile reports that, according to a new announcement by Communications Regulatory Authority, the 10- Rial SMS legal charges will be refunded to all ShatelMobile subscribers’ accounts.
According to ShatelMobile Public Relations, this mobile operator, based on the new announcement by Communications Regulatory Authority of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology of Iran, will refund the total amount of 10 Rial charges for each SMS sent in 1397, which was based on the previous provisions and the bill passed by the Islamic Consultative Assembly, to its subscribers’ accounts, and from now on this operator will not receive this amount from its subscribers for sending SMSs.
It is noteworthy that members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly added an appendant clause to note 19 of the Budget Bill in March 2015, according to which mobile operators were obliged, in addition to the price of each SMS, to receive 10 Rials from SMS senders and remit it to the General Fund Account of the Treasury.
Shatel Mobile Communications Development Company (ShatelMobile), as the mobile network of Shatel Group of Companies, was founded in 2015 with the goal of focusing on new generations of wireless communications services based on mobile networks, TD-LTE and Public Wi-Fi.
