Shatel group of companies (Shatel Information and Communication Technology Group) presents its notable services throughout the country as the largest Internet Services and Internet Communication Solutions Provider in Iran. Shatel is the first ADSL2+ service provider in Iran.
Shatel Group of Companies with over 1300 highly skilled employees has managed to offer its services throughout the country by extending the scope of distribution of the company’s services via 400 franchises, 1,000 resellers and more than 2,500 employees and to take the largest share of Internet customers market and complementary services, particularly in the field of ADSL2+, high speed Internet.
Our Story
Shatel Group of Companies started its business in 2002 after receiving ISP and ICP licenses from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology with a team consisting of 20 experts and professionals, with the goal of providing Internet access services. The activities at the time of establishment focused specifically on providing Internet access services through dial-up and international calling cards.
After a year and along with the expansion of Internet usage, introduction of Radio Regulations in the country and increasing demand of the organizations for Internet services, Shatel, from among 300 ISPs, could successfully receive PAP license from TCI which led to the incredible expansion of its services and activities.
After receiving aforementioned licenses and remarkable investments, Shatel has offered ADSL2+ and its related complementary services such as VDSL, VOD, VPN and E- learning requirements to customers.
By expansion of the activities, other services such as DSL and wireless broadband and specific solutions for organizations in the field of Local and International Communications were added to its product portfolio.
After acquiring FCP license in 2015, Shatel took another great step in offering the latest services and completing its product portfolio. FCP license as a comprehensive license is issued to this group to establish and exploit fixed communication networks independent of technology.
Now, as the first ADSL2+ service provider in Iran, Shatel takes a large share of high speed Internet customers market and complementary services within home users, companies and organizations. So, over 3 million home users and organizations and institutions utilize more than 800 thousand active services and high speed Internet services offered by Shatel. All these make Shatel a widely-known and reliable name among all ISPs in the country.
The executives and staff of the company have never failed to strive to provide new ideas and services, and are trying to obtain a higher position and fame in the market and ultimately achieve customer satisfaction.
Human Capital
Shatel human capital consists of more than 1300 university graduates in various fields who are working along with 2500 of franchises’ employees throughout the country to offer services to customers. It should be noted that more than 90 percent of Shatel employees are graduates of Technical Engineering, IT, Management, Economics and other related majors.
On its way to Excellence, Shatel has paid special attention to Human Capital as one the main principles of the Company. Continuous manager- employee connection at all levels is another effort to guarantee Shatel family stability. Some other efforts include accurate division of tasks among departments and different layers according to their skills and interests, planned training courses for various layers of the organization, utilization of participative management system to improve employees` motivation, various employee welfare system and outsourcing to increase organizational agility.

The Center aims to raise the quality and scientific level of its staff to provide community-based services of high quality and continuous education in line with the latest technological changes to provide a vibrant environment.
Furthermore, Shatel employees take part in informal gatherings to reinforce their relations, with the intention of preserving integration of the organization. This has resulted in activities and gatherings such as mountain climbing teams, appreciation of successes made by departments, employees’ birthdays, sport teams and specific leagues like Shatel football league.
In 2016 Shatel was awarded as the Best workplace by the National Efficiency Festival.
